Multifamily Reach Code Survey

Published January 11, 2023

Help shape the development of Piedmont’s Reach Codes for multifamily buildings by completing a brief online survey.

This survey is an opportunity for residents and property managers to help the City’s Sustainability Division understand what electrification and energy efficiency measures are of interest to be included in new and existing multifamily buildings. City staff will use the information gathered to inform the development of Reach Codes for multifamily buildings and help shape public education and outreach initiatives regarding the policy.

The survey asks for your input about:

  • impacts of climate change as it relates to public health, safety, and buildings
  • measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in multifamily buildings
  • electrification and energy efficiency measures for multifamily buildings, including both market rate and affordable housing
  • electric vehicle charging infrastructure

The survey will remain open through March 1st and should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

The City Council readopted Reach Codes for single-family buildings in October 2022. To learn more about that process, visit: https://www.piedmont.ca.gov/services___departments/planning___building/about_building_/reach_code_information.
