- You can register online.
- You need to be 18 years or older on election day, but you can pre-register if you are 16 or 17 years old.
- If you’ve moved or changed your name since the last election, you need to re-register.

If you are registered, you are automatically sent a vote-by-mail ballot. You can vote in-person or by mail. You can vote at any voting center in Alameda County or return your ballot to an official drop box.
