Community building is at the heart of what we do at PRD. Join us at one of our upcoming Special Events! You can easily register online through PRD's Community Pass website. 
 
We highly recommend registering in advance for PRD Special Events. Please note that a Community Pass account is required.

In case you haven't noticed, the East Bay has gone to the birds —and we mean that in the best way possible. Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement that emphasizes harmony, balance, and symbolism. In this introduction class, Chris "Hokyu" Mehling will explain the difference between Western-style flower arranging in Japanese-style flower arranging. Following a floral demonstration, explaining the key aspects and principles of Ikebana, participants will have an opportunity to assemble a new creation using their own materials and imaginations.

Surf's Up, Santa!

Santa is trading snow for sand this season— and he's making a special stop in Piedmont!

Join us for a tropical twist in holiday fun with festive crafts, cheerful holiday drinks, and of course, a sunny photo op with Santa himself (Hawaiian shirt and all)! Perfect for families looking to add a splash of un to their holiday season. Don't forget your flip-flops and holiday spirit!

Donuts & Dreidels

This festive family event features live music, a holiday-themed scavenger hunt, craft, dreidel, menorah making, and fun for the whole family/ Take a picture with Spinny the Dreidel! Coffee, juice, and Hanukkah sufganiyot (jelly donuts) will be served to those who register in advance.

Noon Year's EvePLAG

Ring in 2026 with PRD! Celebrate with music, the infamous balloon drop and a whole lot of fun! Advanced registration is required.

Bunny Blast 2026

Join PRD for its wonderful Egg-Stravaganza in Piedmont Park! Will be filled with thousands of stuffed eggs (over 5000!) for little hunters to discover. There will be seasonal theme to activities set up around the park as well as photo opportunities with PRD's very own Springtime Bunny. PRD's annual event is great for kids ages seven years old and under and the perfect way to hop into spring!

Play Like a Girl+ Piedmont 2026*

The City of Piedmont is hosting its 5th annual Play Like a Girl+ Piedmont event on Sunday, May 3rd, at Piedmont High School's Witter Field!

More than 20 sports organizations from around the Bay Area will have hands-on activities for girls ages 2–18 to try. From boxing to volleyball to field hockey, there will truly be something for everyone!

Athletes will enjoy live demonstrations as well as professional, Paralympic and Olympic athletes. Additional event details, including a list of feature sports, will be continually updated this Spring on the Play Like a Girl+ Piedmont webpage.
