What it’s like working at Piedmont Fire

Working at Piedmont Fire is a unique and special experience.

Piedmont is a small, primarily residential city located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area. Nestled in the East Bay hills with sweeping views of Oakland and San Francisco, Piedmont is known across the region for its beauty, small town charm, and community spirit.

Our firefighters are truly part of the community. We pride ourselves on setting the bar for exceptional service, delivering industry-leading response times and the highest quality medical care, and our residents respond in kind. This is a place where residents know you by name and care packages of home-baked treats are a regular feature of firehouse life.

Piedmont firefighters are well supported by the City government, with high quality modern equipment, fully sponsored training, and an agency commitment to continuous skill development. We foster a culture of belonging, ensuring everyone on our diverse team feels valued and at home.

Oh, and yes – we have a fire pole. It’s as old as the station. But no Dalmatian. Sorry.
