Program Service Dates, Hours & Tuition Details
Families can enroll in Schoolmates and/or Minimates through
Community Pass. Please refer to the Schoolmates'
Enrollment Page for enrollment dates and procedures.
Based on an hourly rate approved by Piedmont City Council, tuition rates are calculated for all Schoolmates programs (PUSD & SM closure days are reflected in the tuition price), and fees are collected on a monthly basis.
Due to SM Staff development training and school year site set-up, extended care programs are not available Monday–Friday, August 5–9, 2024.

Block Booking
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 3:00–6:00 pm; Wednesdays 1:45–6:00 pm
- Predetermined timeslots from 3:00–6:00 pm (Wednesdays 1:45–6:00 pm)
- Enrollment is set by DAY (e.g. Mondays, Thursdays)
- Tuition by Day per Month: Enrollment based on a $11.20/hr fee structure
Flexi-Care
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday between 2:00–6:00 pm; Wednesdays between 1:45–6:00 pm
- Hourly increments starting at 2:00 pm (Grade K); 3:00 pm (Grades TK–5); Wednesdays at 1:45 pm (All Grades)
- Enrollment is set by DAY (e.g. Mondays, Thursdays)
- Tuition by Day/Hour per Month: Enrollment based on a $13.40/hr fee structure
- Kindergarten Note: If your child has a 2:00 pm dismissal time, please enroll in Flexi-Care to bridge the extended care hour between 2:00–3:00 pm.

SUNSET: AFTERNOON MINIMATES (for AM TK Students)
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 11:45 am–3:00 pm; Wednesdays 11:45 am–1:45 pm

School Year Service Dates (2024/2025)
To synchronize with the PUSD Academic Calendar and PRD/ASE program schedules, monthly service dates start and conclude on specific dates. Mid-Year open enrollment, pending availability, occurs monthly between the 20th (6:00 pm) and the 25th. Enrollment service dates are based on the following date ranges. For mid-year enrollments, your child's first date of enrollment will begin on the next service range (not the date of enrollment).

Tuition Billing and Payment Details
- Program Note: Participants are reserving time, space, staffing, and provisions for your child, whether or not they attend.
- Program fees are collected on a monthly basis. Once registered, your account will be automatically charged on the 10th of each month, and a confirmation will be sent to the primary email on account.
- Payment information must be stored on your CommunityPass account at the time of enrollment.
- Please keep your payment information up to date! If your family accrues a past due balance, and fails to pay in promptly, this may lead to the removal of the participant until all balances are settled in full.
- Convenience Fees There is a 3% convenience fee for all credit card transactions, 1% for e-checking transactions. Convenience fees will not be charged if a family has a credit on file of equal or lesser value.
- Enrollment Rollover Opportunities are available monthly throughout the school year. Your child's spot will be maintained until a withdrawal request is submitted (deadline: the 15th of each month). Please note that rollovers pertain to the same attendance hours, and requests for modifications or transfers will not be considered (see Schoolmates Parent Handbook for complete details).
- Withdrawal Requests Opportunities are available monthly throughout the school year (deadline: the 15th of each month). Please refer to Schoolmates' Enrollment Page for details.
- Refunds, Credits & Prorated Fees will only be considered by PRD staff under certain circumstances such as extended illness or family situations where the child will be absent for an extended period amount of time. Participants will not be credited or refunded for early pick up, or when they are absent due to early pick ups play dates, or other scheduling conflicts.
