Schoolmates Program Closures (school year)

In alignment with the PUSD Academic Calendar/Schedule, the following dates are when Schoolmates programs will be closed: 

  • Schoolmates CLOSED: August 12–30** 
  • Labor Day: Monday, September 3
  • PRD Staff Development Days: Monday, October 14
  • Veterans' Day: Monday, November 11
  • Schoolmates CLOSED Conference Week*: October 28–November 1** (dates pending PUSD confirmation) 
  • November Break*: Monday–Friday, November 25–29
  • Winter Break*: Monday–Friday, December 23–January 3; Monday–Tuesday, January 6–7
  • MLK Jr. Day: Monday, January 20
  • February Break*: Monday–Friday, February 17–21
  • Staff Development Day: Friday, March 14; Monday, March 17
  • PUSD Open House: Date TBD
  • Spring Break*: Monday–Friday, April 7–11
  • Memorial Day: Monday, May 26
  • Summer Staff Development Days: Wednesday–Friday, June 4–6

Schoolmates Non-School Days / Holiday Break Camp Schedule*

During PUSD Holiday Breaks, ONE Schoolmates Site will host Holiday Camp Kaleidoscope, with a combination of Schoolmates staff from each site. Online Registration will be available via CommunityPass (alongside Activity Guide releases). Please use the Piedmont Recreation Programs module for registration, keyword search "Kaleidoscope". Enrollment is PER DAY.

  • November Break at Beach: Monday–Wednesday, November 25–27
  • Winter Break at Wildwood: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri, December 30–31, January 2–3; Mon/Tues January 6–7
  • February Break at Havens: Tuesday–Friday, February 18–21
  • Spring Break at Beach: Monday–Friday, April 7–11

PUSD Conference Week & Early Release Days

Camp Kaleidoscope Returns! Sessions will be available during the month of August (2:00 pm dismissal), PUSD's Conference Week and Early Release Dates (12:00 noon dismissal).
